Ableton 11 ReWire
Mac:
- Open the file: ~/library/preferences/Ableton/[your version of Live]/Options.txt
- Append this line at the end of the file: -EnableRewire and save it
- Restart Ableton
- Insert a Mixup plugin on your mix bus. You can now transport control Ableton directly from the plugin
Windows:
- Open the file: C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\[your version of Live]\Preferences\Options.txt
- Append this line at the end of the file: -EnableRewire and save it
- Restart Ableton
- Insert a Mixup plugin on your mix bus. You can now transport control Ableton directly from the plugin
Ableton 10 and under
As far as we know... inserting your Mixup Plugin on any track should suffice to transport control Ableton by clicking on your comment timestamps or blue waveform in the Mixup Plugin. :-)
