Let’s match levels to streaming standards

Keep an edge over the streaming services with Mixup.audio
Bad news: The loudness war is still raging, sometimes in mysterious ways. When listening to your work in progress, it is very important to compare it to relevant references. The only problem is…. References are all over the place. Are you delivering to Spotify? Deezer? To Broadcast standards? To CD levels?

Match levels to streaming standards
Mixup lets you match playback levels between your project and streaming or broadcast standards and safely compare your work to published material in the real world.

Set track level
On your Mixup track, click on the level button to bring up the Track Level aligner. Choose Custom mode and choose your target service from the Level references menu. From this point on level of every version in the track will playback automatically at the chosen streaming service level. So when your guests switch back and forth between Mixup and Spotify, Tidal or Youtube they can really get a real-world feel for how great your work is. Now that’s a fair battle.

Set playlist level
This also works exactly in the same manner as Mixup playlists. Once the track level aligner is enabled on a playlist every track in that playlist will playback at the chosen streaming service level.

This is a great way to keep things real with your collaborators and not leave anything to be fixed ‘in mastering’.
