Loudness management: from demo to final master

Keeping playback levels real with Mixup.audio
The human brain is hardwired to favor louder sounds and that’s a huge problem when trying to gauge the quality of a piece of audio work. For example, artists tend to compare their works in progress to existing mastered records making it very hard for them to truly compare apples to apples.

To fix that issue, Mixup has a built-in level management system that lets you control the playback level of any track or any playlist. It has several huge benefits.

Align track level
At the track level, you can keep the playback level of all versions of the same track, from demo to master, including reference tracks, set to whatever LUFS level you like. Or you can let Mixup pick the optimal level across all versions automatically for you so your files play as loud as possible without clipping. That way no one is going to complain your mix is quieter than their crushed demo mix or favorite radio hit because with Mixup they both playback at the same level and everyone can finally hear that yours is clearly better.

Align playlist level
At the playlist level, Mixup will match levels across all enclosed players to your chosen LUFS level elimination track to track differences. Mixup can also pick the optimal playback level across all tracks in a given playlist, automatically for you, and it even makes sure nothing clips across a whole playlist for example.

If you create a new version of a song in one of the tracks in a playlist, Mixup will instantly adjust the playback levels across the whole playlist making sure that all versions of all tracks have the same impact, automatically….
